FOXY Stories · Interview

“The payment was
in my hands — on day one.”

Eight weeks ago, Milena K., 26, applied to FOXY from Odesa. Today her first three-day production is wrapped, the second booking is on the calendar, and the $1,500 was settled exactly as the contract promised. We sat down with her to talk about applications, boundaries on set — and what it actually feels like to work with an agency that puts everything in writing.

We meet in a small café off Khreshchatyk. Milena ordered a cafe latte, put her phone face down, and — before questions were even asked — said: “Write that they paid me exactly what they promised. Nobody writes that about our industry.” What follows is a condensed, approved transcript of our conversation.

Milena K. in numbers

  • 26 years old · Odesa, Ukraine
  • Accepted: August 2026 · answered within 48 hours
  • ID-verified before any booking · government issued
  • First production: 3-day video & photo shoot, Paris
  • The full $1,500 — settled before the first scene

What made you apply in the first place?

Honestly, the money — but not in the way you might think. Every agency I had heard of asked the model to pay. For a portfolio, for “promotion”, for nothing. FOXY advertised the opposite: a guaranteed $1,500 for your work, and zero fees. When the form said “no experience required”, I thought, I need to see whether this is real.

What happened after you submitted the application?

It took me about twenty minutes in the evening — details about me, date of birth, a few photographs. A scouting email came back the next day with a video call offer. We spoke on Wednesday. There was no pressure and no promises without paper: “everything will be in the contract, and you will read it before you sign” — that is what they actually said.

What did the preparation look like?

Two steps, all before anything was booked. First, ID verification — passport, a short call, done. That is how it should be: if an agency does not verify that the model is 18+, walk away. Second, the contract and the consent framework in plain language: scene boundaries, what I was comfortable with, written in, revocable at any time on set.

Tell us about the production itself.

Three days in Paris. Day one was slow on purpose — they said “today is yours, we adjust to you.” And they meant it. The boundaries from the contract were respected to the letter; the crew checked in with me before every scene, and when I wanted to pause, we paused. Nobody raised their voice, nobody pushed. It felt closer to a fashion production than to what people imagine.

You keep mentioning the money. Was it real?

That is the part I checked twice. The contract says it plainly: the $1,500 is my payment for the three days of filming — settled before the first scene, exactly as written. Everything the trip required was covered by the agency: flights, hotel, transfers, meals and studio time. I have not spent a cent since I applied.

What would you say to someone still hesitating?

Two things. Read the contract — everything is in writing, so read all of it and ask, they answer without rushing. And never pay an agency — not for a portfolio, not for anything. Working with FOXY made one thing very clear for me: on a serious set, money flows toward the model.

“Nobody raised their voice, nobody pushed. And the payment was exactly where the contract said it would be.”
